Exploring Feelings and Ideas Through Art
Year 5 enjoyed an inspiring workshop at Orleans House Gallery learning about J.M.W. Turner and exploring a new exhibition by award-winning artist and quantum physicist Libby Heaney, celebrating Turner’s 250th birthday alongside 100 years of quantum physics. The children responded to the artwork through mark-making, using a range of drawing tools and watercolours. Listening to different weather sounds helped them explore how marks can be used to express feelings and ideas in their art.
