School Volunteers
Would you like to join our outstanding team of volunteers?
At St Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Primary School, we are fortunate to have very supportive parents and friends who realise the positive impact that volunteers have on our community.
A number of ways you might like to become involved are detailed below:
- listening to children read
- helping with trips and special events
- working alongside individual pupils, as additional support
- share your skills in school-improvement projects such as painting and decorating or gardening
Anyone interested, should read our Handbook for Volunteers and click the relevant link below to download an application form, complete and then return it to the school office either by hand or by email to admin@st-marymagdalens.richmond.sch.uk.
For Driver Volunteers in order to fulfil our obligation under Health and Safety law, please complete the ‘Volunteer Driver Form’ available on our website and return to the main office.
Safeguarding our children is our top priory so before volunteers can start we need to arrange interviews, checks and inductions to ensure volunteers are suitable and trained to fulfil their volunteering roles.
If your work is to support the PTA please contact them directly.
If for any reason a volunteer has to cancel their help then it is very useful to have advance notice via a phone call or email to the school office.
To existing volunteers, both past and present thank you for your time and effort, it is always valued by the school and the wider school community.
