Recent Achievements

Every year, the PTA organises a variety of events to strengthen the local community and help fund much-needed amenities to our children’s school life.

Working within the government restrictions in place at the end of 2021, we relocated our traditional Christmas Fair outdoors to the playground.  The al fresco environment allowed families to participate in a range of stalls from the Wheel of Fortune to Guess The Teacher and visit Father Christmas in his grotto. The Christmas Fair is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and we were delighted to be able to get the community together at this special time of year after so long apart.

Our first “Wine and Paint” event in March was a fantastic evening held within the school by a local artist with some wonderful art work created by a number of the parents.

Prior to the Easter Break a Movie Night screening was held in the School Hall.  It was great to see the children relaxing, enjoying hot dogs, popcorn and a sing along.  Further “sequels” to Movie Night are planned for the Summer Term.

Getting Involved

Regular meetings are held with parent volunteers and the school to plan, co-ordinate and deliver the PTA events and activities across the school year.

As a parent, you are automatically a member of the PTA.  We want everyone to get involved if they wish and there are lots of ways you can help:

  • Come to a PTA meeting – have a coffee and a chat
  • Offer your expertise – for example, baking, accounting, graphic design, etc, etc.
  • Give any ideas/feedback to the Class Reps or PTA Committee members in the playground.
  • Run a stall at an event
  • Bring family and friends to events and spread the word

The continued success of the PTA depends on the support of the parents, school and the local community.  We never take anyone’s participation for granted. Every little bit helps and ensures that we can continue providing benefit to all of our children.

We always need volunteers to make the activities as successful as possible.

Attending and supporting our events is the primary way of contributing to the PTA, and means that fundraising can continue to be combined with strengthening our community and enjoying time together.
