“The event not only helped us improve our basketball and teamwork skills but continued the long-lasting legacy led by the students of St Mary Magdalen’s. Our team showed great leadership abilities both on and off the pitch. After successfully beating the first three teams, we were faced against our biggest opponent yet in the final: Barnes Primary. Knowing this was the final stretch before our victory, we all went into the final game with determination. Barnes showed commitment and concentration, but showing the amount of strength and integrity our small school has, we brought it home with a scoreline of 12-8.” – Sam, Year 6 and tournament MVP
“On Wednesday we had a fantastic (but also tense) netball tournament. It ended better than we could have wished for but what an incredible effort! The semifinal was for me the hardest game as it was against Hampton Hill school who had a very tall and strong player in the team. Hassan, Ann and Gemma gave us great advice and support. Thanks to great team work we managed to win. In the final we triumphed! I think because winning against Hampton made us believe we were the strongest team. I am so happy to share this experience with my friends in the last year of St Mary Mags. I will remember this for a long time. Thanks to all my friends and Hassan, Gemma and Ann!!!” – Luca, Year 6
“I saw my friends from my football club and we played against them. I hope the other teams have good luck but we scored the most goals and won the first girls football tournament. We want to thank Hassan and our parents” Isabelle, Reception
