For growing children, breakfast is probably the most important meal – giving them the energy they need to learn. We know many parents have to go to work early, so we’re delighted to offer our very popular Breakfast Club to kickstart your child’s day.
Starting from 8am and running from Monday to Friday, St Mary Magdalen’s Breakfast Club is a great opportunity for your child to enjoy a delicious, healthy breakfast and get their day off to a bright start. Our terrific menu consists of cereal, wholemeal toast with preserves, fresh apple and orange juice. According to a recent directive from the government, we are doing everything right!
Please ensure that your child is in the hall by 8:15 a.m. Breakfast is not served after 8:30 a.m. At 8:45 a.m. the KS2 children go to their classrooms and the KS1 children are supervised in the playground by the member of staff on duty.
Breakfast Club also gives your child the chance to socialise with other pupils and teachers in an informal family atmosphere. It is open to every pupil at a cost of £4 per day and they can attend for whole week, a few days or one day a week – whatever suits you best.
Breakfast Club is booked in advance via SCOPay, so that the appropriate arrangements can be made to ensure distancing between pupils from different bubbles. You will need to purchase the number of mornings you will need and then go to your basket to make your purchase, the cost is £4 per session (this includes cereal, juice and toast).
We are pleased to say we now offer the Government childcare voucher scheme to purchase Breakfast Club Vouchers from Kiddievouchers (www.kiddivouchers.com) and Fideliti Childcare Vouchers (www.fideliti.co.uk), please see their websites for more information.
