Year 3 Trip to Barnes Common

Year 3 spent a great morning on Barnes Common on Monday. The children really enjoyed identifying the different trees and flowers, understanding how and why they grow where they do. Then they became pollination detectives as they dissected a flower to understand the different parts and their function, and observed the different birds and animals on the common, understanding how they help the pollination process.
