World Book Day

St Mary Mags had a fantastic time on World Book Day this week. There was dressing up galore, Drop Everything And Read sessions, virtual author visits, designing and illustrating book covers, book mark making, and book review writing. Enthusiastic book talk was heard all over the school and this continued after school when the children were able to purchase some preloved books at the second-hand book sale. A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTA for organising this popular event.

Our pupils showed themselves to be very talented artists and designed some incredible book themed paper plates. Although we found it almost impossible to choose our winners, after much deliberation the prizes went to:

Year 3 – Lily P
Year 4 – William G
Year 5 – Emelia O’R
Year 6 – Mya B-K.

Well done to everybody for entering – we can’t wait to display your work around school for everybody to enjoy.
