Barnes Music Festival Workshop

Year 5 and the 6 Year choir participated in a fantastic music workshop hosted by St Paul’s School as part of the Barnes Music Festival.  The workshop was weaved around historical events including the Great Fire of London and significant historical figures including Samuel Pepys and King Charles II.  The children practised singing in canon, followed by group work where they created rhythms and melodies for phrases based on the Coronation of King Charles II. They had a brilliant time performing their music; some groups included an interesting fanfare to complete their piece of music
